If you've used every wall space you can find, how about finding some space WITHIN the wall? I added about 5 feet of 4 1/2" deep shelving in my unused wall space!
Campers have a wall where the vent pipes from the black & gray tanks go up to the roof. These pipes are about 3" diameter or more, so the wall has to be deeper than a standard 1 1/2" camper wall. I took advantage of this depth and put in shelves! By making the shelves just a bit deeper than the wall, I got 4 1/2" deep!
You can cut the paneling with a razor knife.
I removed the paneling from the wall on the left side of the wardrobe. You can see the black vent pipe. That area, I will leave alone. But the other side is completely open and useable.
After removing the paneling, the shelving is simple.
Cut two pieces of wood for brackets, and thin plywood for the shelf. First attach the brackets, then nail the shelf on top.
We gained great storage with the 3 1/2" wall. I added about 5 feet of 4 1/2" shelving!! Right now I mostly have empty boxes & bottles on there to see what will fit
Two shelves were specially sized for paperback books. Each shelf has an eye on one end and a hook on the other. A 10" bungee cord holds everything securely.
Usually you can get things in and out without releasing the cord, but if you have to release it, the cuphook as the front hook makes it easy to attach it back.
Can't wait to go camping!!!
Coming soon, a post on how we moved the TV and hung it with invisible reinforcement.
