Double Your Drawer Space

Easily Double Your Drawer Storage! This site is full of great ideas for small spaces!

I don't know about you, but I never have enough drawers! Especially in my camper, where I only have two small drawers.  This project will work in your home too!

Easily Double Your Drawer Storage! This site is full of great ideas for small spaces!

I recently came up with a way to double the storage in my drawers!

Step 1 is to enlarge the hole that the drawer goes into. The front of the drawer overlaps the face of the cabinet by quite a bit. The first thing I did was cut the hole in the cabinet so that it is just a little smaller than the drawer front. This means I can put larger items in the drawer and still close it

You can see in the photo above that the hole in the cabinet was originally as high as that line onthe left side. I carefully cut it larger using a jigsaw so that I could have an extra 1/2" clearance.
