Designing a kayak rack for the back of the truck

Getting ready to build a kayak rack for the back of the truck. Don't know why this is so intimidating, except the fact that we drive about 70 miles an hour and I'm afraid it may fly apart and kill someone behind us.

UPDATE: Built a rack and after using it for 15,000 miles I have lots of pictures and information posted here!

Now go outside and play!
