Only Two Puppies on My Lap

Baby Girl went to her forever home this afternoon. I took Emily with me, and I was curious to see how she would handle giving her baby away and going home. Well, apparently these puppies have reached teenage-hood in dog years and she had no second thoughts about sending this one to a new home LOL. She came home, looked at the two that are left and jumped up on the couch. Then she looked at me as if to say "well? when are they going off to begin their real lives?"  I had a harder time saying good-bye than she did. She was an amazing mom, but I guess her job as done.

She was also very happy to get back into shape - she has her figure back and a chic new haircut to go with it.

You may remember what she looked like during the last days of her pregnancy. I had great sympathy for her! I remember those days!

But now she's gorgeous again, with her cute little figure!

A Little FaceTime

Just a few photos from the one-on-one time I have with the puppies every day. They sure are cute! They are much fluffier than they appear in the photos. The videos show them much better, don't know why my photos don't look fluffy.

 Little Boy #1

 Little Boy #2

The little girl will be called "Baby" So now I have a name to call her, and she's already used to it, I've been calling her that since birth! LOL When I walk up to the pen I always call "hey baby!! hey baby!" and they all come bouncing out on their little fat legs.

All Puppies Have Found New Humans to Conquer

Well, all the pups have new humans that will be picking them up over the course of the next few weeks. I am SURE going to miss them! Fortunately they are not all going at once. If you would like to know if I ever have another litter, please contact me and I'll shoot you an email if we do it again. We really are considering it, since this was a BLAST!! I can't believe how easy and QUIET these puppies are! So, you never know, there may be more Christmas puppies in our future.  I'll continue to post pictures of the puppies until they're gone . . . . . sniff . .. .

Puppy Run Time & Tug o War

This was so cute! They just run around like they're kind of being taken for a ride by their legs, they're not really sure about the control part of it.

Artistic Puppies Make Christmas Diorama

Funny thing, I do a lot of crafts (a LOT, you can see some of them from my Etsy shop in the sidebar on the right).  I guess I have influenced the puppies (they can see my studio from their pen), they made a Christmas diorama this morning LOL - seriously, I came in and found the tree standing up that way.

They call it "Christmas Tree in Snow with Snowballs"

(don't worry, they don't tear up puppy pads, that is a human pad from when my dad was on Hospice. I use them at night and they don't work so well. The puppy pads have a tougher top layer.)  Here's a picture of them resting from their creative labors.

Happy news for the pups and very sad news for me - Little Girl and Big Guy have found their new humans to rule, so they will be leaving soon. Fortunately, I get to keep Little Girl til Monday and Big Guy will hang around until Christmas Eve.

Little Guy has about 3 people interested that haven't met him yet. The first one to meet him will take him, nobody can withstand their ninja puppy stealthy love skills!

. . .  and plus they're artistic!!

I'm in the process of uploading a really cute video of them, should be up in an hour or so.
Check back!

As of Sunday the larger boy weighed 2 10 oz  (shown in the center)
The little girl weighed 2 lbs 8 oz (on right?)

Playing with Mommy!

I just happened to look up and catch this precious moment between Emily and one of her pups. At 3 1/2 weeks old, they are just beginning to play. I think this is the first time they've played together like this! Unfortunately, I had to cough and ruined the moment :(

More 3 Week Old Maltese Baby Photos

I am having the hardest time getting the photos uploaded. I finally got the individual shots from the last photo shoot.

Big Guy
(who isn't really the biggest anymore since his brother caught up with him)

Little Girl
She is the quietest, and plays inside the box most of the time.

Little Guy
Definitely the most adventurous
If there is one puppy exploring the far end of the enclosure - it's HIM

Somebody's snuggled up with Mommy - (I think it's Little Girl)

2 Weeks Old!

Well, I had a really nice post written, and somehow I deleted the whole danged thing. Grrr, I'm just trying to catch up, it would be nice if my computer would cooperate :)

So, here is the post with the most recent photos - these were taken Saturday, at two weeks.

They are growing so fast! They are about 3x as large as they were at birth! Amazing!

They are really growing and their personalities are becoming evident. They are the quietest, calmest puppies I've ever seen. They hardly make a peep, even when mom leaves. Of course, by the time she leaves, they are so full, they can hardly do anything except lay on their backs and sleep :)

The other day, I did hear one making some noise. He just kept going and going, so finally I went to see what the problem was. He had managed to crawl right over the lip of the giant dog crate they are in and was rolling around on the floor trying to figure out what the heck happened.

I bet I won't be able to get them all into the basket at once next week. Either they won't fit, or they'll climb out LOL

Stay tuned for more beautiful puppy pictures!

1 Week Old! (They still look like hamsters)

Wow - a week old already! They still look like hamsters though. I thought I would put them in a small basket so there is a reference point for how they grow.

Emily finally got a bath, she really needed it, but her puppies needed to smell Mommy so I managed to put it off for about a week. Enough! Time to be cute and fuzzy and clean again. The puppies didn't seem to mind.

(If you did the math from their birth on October 25, you know they are actually 2 weeks old, but I am very behind in posting. I'll have their 2 week old photos up really soon.

This is a montage that Google made which is actually all the puppies, but it is just about what they looked like when I put them in the basket LOL

My adorable little Maltese, Emily, has been very busy! On October 25, she presented us with 3 BEAUTIFUL Maltese puppies! Did I mention they were beautiful!? They are going to be ready for their forever homes on December 20, just in time for CHRISTMAS PRESENTS!

Being a first time mother, she had no clue what was going on when they were born.  I could see the thoughts going through her little head - "What in the world is happening to me? I feel rather odd. I have been putting on a lot of weight lately. I don't feel so good. Whoa, what is going on here, what is this thing coming out of me?? OH MY GOD IT'S ALIVE!" Then instinct kicked in and she became the world's greatest Mom. The second and third puppies were like "Oh yeah, I've got this covered, I know what's happening now"

So without further ado - may I present Emily and the three cutest puppies in the world!

From Left to Right - Little Girl, Little Guy & Big Guy all healthy, warm and clean!

More updates to come!
