My Favorite Things for Small Space Living

If you are looking for a few things to add to your camper, or gifts for someone who has a small space, here are some items that I really get a lot of use out of including TINY APPLIANCES!

Wow - Slow Cooker without Electricity!

We are planning a long camping trip through the National Parks this coming spring. I can't wait! It's going to be fantastic! The only not-so-fantastic part is that National Parks don't have electricity and water hook-ups. 

I have been looking for a "Thermal Pot" for a long time. That way I can cook a slow cooker meal without needing electrical hook-ups. They are normally over $100, $150 or even more. This is why I don't have one LOL.  Well, the other day I stumbled across this -

So, my son bought it for me for Christmas.

To use a thermal pot, you heat the ingredients up to boiling and pour them in. Close tightly and let sit for 3-8 hours. Everything will cook up nicely because it is heavily insulated. It's also great to transport hot food to a tail-gating party or get-together.

Eight weeks on the road is going to be a lot nicer! We now have a wonderful laundry! If you can find 18"x18"x35" you can have a wonderful laundry room too!! Here's how I did it.

New Dishes for the Camper! Yay!

Ok ya'll I have to share this! I am excited! By what you ask? Well, I have been married to my dear hubby for 10 years, and our camping dishes have been old Corelle from his, um, previous spouse. Which were ugly enough that she left them behind when she cleaned him out. So, being the type of person who says "THINGS don't matter" I've lived with the ugly dishes, quietly (well, mostly quietly, although I have my moments)

Well - NO MORE! Today we bought a brand new set of really pretty Corelle dishes in preparation for our big migration to Niagra Falls in the camper. (no, I have not finished repairing the window under the sink, but it was nice of you to ask) Dishes are important too, you know.

They came today, and I can't wait to donate the others to Goodwill and they can grace someone else's camper.
