  1. WoW! Great ideas:) Have you weighed your rig after all these mods? Are you near or over weight?

    1. Thanks for commenting! That's a good question. I doubt that I have actually added any weight at all, it probably weighs less! I do want to take it to a weigh station sometime.

The dinette benches were heavy mdf, I built a lighter couch & boxes from thin plywood. The couch is the same size as the dinette seats, but turned sideways and only uses half the cushions. The boxes have the same amount of storage room that was under the benches, but much easier to access.

The heavy mdf dinette table has been replaced with a small light one from plywood.

The bunk door is removed and replaced with a curtain. The stuff that is up there was up there before, but hard to get to.

In any case, one of the things that I love about my camper is the weight (UVW) is 2995 pounds and the "Maximum Additional Cargo Capacity" is 2855 pounds. That means it can carry almost 3,000 pounds of stuff!! I know I have not gotten anywhere near that. Even the washer only weighs 50 pounds, and it's behind the axle so doesn't add to the tongue weight.

Almost all my mods just make the space easier to get to and more organized. We have gotten better about not loading it down with canned foods and cast iron LOL

If you use any of my mods, send me a picture, I'd love to see it!!.
